Youth Summer Day Camp

  • Grades: K - 6th
  • Cost:    $32/day - $5/day discount for additional children
  • Days:   Monday - Friday
  • Times:  7:00am - 6:00pm

Daily swimming, morning yoga, gardening in the community garden, cooking and baking, games and outdoor play.  Special guest entertainment on Wednesdays will include: Magic Rob, Butterfly Pavilion, Sticky Fingers Cooking, Playground Theater, Mad Science, Wild Wings and Casey Newman's Dog Show.  Dates for special guests will be posted soon.

We accept CCAP from Gilpin and Boulder County.

Beginning July 12th Youth Camp packets (including immunization records with a state seal) must be complete or children will not be able to attend the Summer Camp program.

Youth After School Program

After School Program

  • Times:  Bus arrival - 6:00pm

Friday Camp

  • Grades: K - 6th
  • Cost:    $32 full day OR $16 half day ($5 additional child discount)
  • Day:     Friday
  • Times:  7am - 6pm Full Day OR 7am - 1pm OR 1pm - 6pm Half Day

Take the school bus from Gilpin RE-1 School to the Gilpin County Community Center and get ready to have some fun! Children will be supervised at all times. Only students PRE-REGISTERED in the program will be allowed on the bus. PARENTS: Please register your child at least one week in advance. Also, cancelations must be made by 12:00pm on the day your child is not coming or you will be charged for the full day.

Youth Dance Classes



  • 4:30 - 5:30p: Pre-School Combination Ballet, Tap & Acrobatics - Ages 3-5
  • 5:30 - 6:30p: Beginning Tumbling 
  • 6:30 - 7:30p: Advanced Tumbling


Cost per Visit: $12/members, $14/non-members

Cost per 4 Punch Card: $32/members, $40/non-members


Ballet is the foundation for all types of dance. It teaches self discipline, poise and grace. Each class will include a warm-up at the barre, Ballet techniques in center floor, and progressions across the floor such as turns, leaps and a Ballet combination. Songs and dances will be taught for ages 3-5.

Acrobatics will improve large motor skills and build strength and flexibility. Young students will learn basic exercises and tumbling. Older students and those with previous acrobatic or gymnastic experience will be taught according to their ability.

Tap is an enjoyable way to learn rhythm and coordination. The students will learn basic to advanced Tap technique, progressions across the floor, turns and a Tap combination.

Kinder Kix **Beginning 3/25/17**

  • Saturdays
  • 9:15 - 10:15a
  • Ages: 4-6 years
  • Cost: 4 class punchcard: $20 member / $26 non-member - Cost per class: $6 member / $7.50 non-member
  • On going, drop-in class

Kids will have fun learning basic Tae Kwon Do blocks and kicks, while also improving their coordination, balance, self-confidence, discipline and respect.

Kid's Tae Kwon Do **Beginning 3/25/17**

  • Saturdays
  • 10:30 - 11:30a
  • Ages 7+
  • Cost: 4 class punchcard: $20 member / $26 non-member - Cost per class: $6 member / $7.50 non-member
  • On going, drop-in class

In this class kids will work on strength, confidence and control. It will include instruction on stretching, basics and learning forms with a few fun games thrown in.
