Outdoor Trail:

Get out and enjoy the fresh mountain air while you follow this scenic path around the perimeter of the Community Center Campus through colorful Aspen groves, thick pine forests, and budding wildflowers!

A one mile ADA-accessible loop constructed in the spring of 2009. The trail was funded with Conservation Trust Fund monies. Dogs, strollers, wheelchairs, runner and walker are all welcome! Please remember to pick up after your dogs.

Sorry, no ATV's, horses or bicycles may be used on the trail.

Community Center Room Use Guidelines
  • Preference will be given to applications that make use of the facilities during the regular business hours and cause minimal disruption to the building schedule and to the public use of the facility.
  • Activities will be scheduled on a first come/first serve basis with preference given to Gilpin County Parks and Recreation programs and Gilpin County Departments.
  • Room reservation is not final until full payment is received.
  • A courtesy call will be made if payment has not been received and there is another request for the room on that date and time.
  • We will contact the room holder 2 weeks in advance to ensure that their plans have not changed.
  • GCPRD must receive at least 24 hours notice before scheduling an activity.
  • GCPRD must receive at least 48 hours prior notice for cancellations or room rental fee is forfeited.
  • The Recreation Coordinator has sole discretion as to whether to approve or disallow an activity.
Registration / Class Cancellations / Refunds
  • Payment for classes is due in full at the time of registration. Participants will not be permitted in class until payment is received. Make checks out to GCPR.
  • Please register by mail or in person at the Community Center. Registrations are not final until full payment is received. Sorry, partial payments cannot be accepted.
  • Classes have a set maximum and minimum participant number. If the minimum is not met, the class may be cancelled. Minimums are based on pre-registrations, so register early to assure minimums are met.
  • All registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, weather or other circumstances beyond our control. Make-up classes will be offered whenever possible, but cannot be guaranteed.
  • If a class is cancelled, payment can be credited to the household account at the Community Center for use in other activities. Reimbursements are available upon request.
  • Requests for refunds must be submitted, in writing, five (5) business days before the class is schedule to begin.
  • Refund requests made after a class has started will be considered on an individual basis. There will be a 20% administrative charge on all refunds granted after a class has started.
  • Acceptable proof of residency must be provided to receive resident rates.
  • All Gilpin County resident Seniors, 60+ yrs, receive membership rates on all classes.
